This is a beautiful brown with red clay tones to it. It is a lighter tone of brown, and almost leaning towards a pastel look.
When writing with a broad nib there are very distinct tones and shades to the line. For my preference, inks that have such distinctive shading tend to more for my personal notes rather than business writing.

Here is a colour that I have taken an immediate liking to. Chocolate Brown is a deep rich brown. Solid in tone and character. It is a ink that looks good in both personal and business writing.

After seeing Chocolate Brown, and then the next ink named Dark Brown, this probably was not what you were expecting! There is a chestnut tone to the brown. Good performing ink.

Here is a strong, solid looking brown ink that I have found to be suitable for both business and personal writing.
There are good undertones to the ink, and they come out when writing with a broad or stub pen.

Raw Sienna is n easy on the eye brown with a somewhat flat tone. When writing with a broad nib shading created an interesting effect. I have used this colour for both for business and personal notes. When looking back at documents written with this colour they look fine, however I lean more towards Golden Brown and Rustin Brown for my brown choices.

This is a great colour. Almost an brown red. When I started to use this colour I was pleased as the comments back
great colour". Strong colour, even with shadding it alwys comes through consistent.

This is a solid dark brown ink with no yellow or gold undertones. It is very similar to Golden Brown or Chocolate Brown (released in 2009) I found the ink was considerably "flatter" in tone than the colour swatch on the Diamine web site.

This was a colour I was looking forward to useing - its funny how a name alone starts expectations. In using the ink, I found the colour to be a bit pale in tone for my preference. It did look good on cards but not for any writing I did at the office. There is great shading with this ink so when write a few lines of text in a card there is a great look to the writing.
It is a good performing ink, consistent with flow and drying times of the other Diamine colours.
